“This is better than Palawan!” an American tourist exclaimed after his 15-foot dive that took him to a five-second freefall.
After some first-level spelunking to reach the makeshift platform and then jumping from it, this tourist just experienced first-hand the country’s tourism slogan: “It’s More Fun in the Philippines.”
His excitement is understandable. After all, he’s in the lesser-known spot of Bucas Grande in a town called Socorro in the province of Surigao del Norte. Bucas Grande is a precious group of limestone islands whose beauty rivals that of Palawan.
