Today I woke up at around 4am and excitedly prepared for the long awaited side tour after the stressful Trainer’s Training on the Philippine Digital Literacy for Women Campaign held at the Municipal Session Hall of Socorro, Surigao del Sur.
The group have planned to explore and experience the beauty and adventure offered by Sohoton Cove, Socorro, Bucas Grande Island. It is an hour travel from Socorro and so we hired a double engine boat that can cover the long distance and withstand moderate waves.
Bucas Grande is a less popular island compared to the other major islands of Surigao namely, Dinagat Island and Siargao Island. I did not have time to search about it from the Internet and so I haven’t got a clue on what to really expect that day. What was important is the chance to commune with nature and distress for even a day.
